Lifescaper Coaching: "Trying Or Being"

by Jeffrey T. Brownstein, 12/7/07

Ok, I'll give my wife a plug here, she's the one who inspired this issue. In one of our many conversations about life, Allison observed, "People spend way too much time trying, and not enough time being." Wise words from a woman I completely admire.

And with respect to Law of Attraction, her words couldn't ring more true...

Manifesting anything you desire has little do do with trying. I know many people who have been practicing Law of Attraction for years (i.e. they try hard to make it work every day), and have yet to attract anything of real significance. I also know people who have no idea a Law of Attraction even exists, and somehow good things 'magically' pop into their lives left and right.

The difference? Trying vs. being.

Most of us run into problems when we try to figure everything out. We tend to believe there's some missing piece of information, and if only we had it, our world would instantly morph into focus. The irony is, when the underlying message is "Something's missing," the Universe will continue delivering more of "Something's missing."

Want the real secret? There's nothing you don't already know. There is no magic Law of Attraction formula. In fact, there's really nothing to figure out at all. Attraction is all about energy and vibration, and requires nothing more than your conscious alignment with good feelings. By choosing to feel good, you activate your 'positive' magnet, and set the world in motion to deliver whatever you desire.

So the message is this: Instead of trying to figure out the Law of Attraction, be the Law of Attraction! Whatever it is you want, choose those feelings you'll have once you've already realized your dreams. When you 'try' to become something, the risk of failure always looms. When you declare to 'be' something, the only thing you can possibly become is what you say.

Until next time...

With love,

-Jeff
