Lifescaper Coaching: "Loving The Way Things Are"

by Jeffrey T. Brownstein, 8/17/07

Take a moment to consider something you want to bring into your life. A new house? A spouse? (Take that, Dr. Seuss!) What about a leaner body? Whatever the specific desire(s), there is one constant with each 'want' you have: it's something that isn't yet in your life.

Allow that to sink in. Because since we're talking about Law of Attraction - and since LoA is all about feelings we put out to The Universe - what kind of feelings do you think you're transmitting when you begin from a place of not yet having what you want (i.e. "Something's missing")? Do you see how this could be a potential pitfall?

What I am suggesting (well, I'm a coach, I'm not supposed to 'suggest' anything, but here goes...) is if you want to manifest everything you desire, you must first fall in love with everything you have right now.

This is not as easy as it might sound. After all, someone who wants to attract their ideal romantic partner - and feels like they've already been waiting 'forever' for them to arrive - may have difficulty finding bliss with NOT having that other person now. Yet, this is precisely the angle which will start the attraction ball rolling in your direction.

If all this sounds a bit like gratitude, in some ways it is. Being grateful implies there's no need to 'get anywhere'. There's no "I'll be happy when..." When you accept where you are, you send a signal to The Universe that "Nothing's missing" - and The Universe obediently delivers more of the same. Real gratitude requires that you root yourself firmly in the moment, with no focus on anything you haven't got.

Once you genuinely feel gratitude, only then do you free up the necessary positive vibrational energy to attract what is yet to come into your life - in other words, all those things you want. Loving where you are doesn't mean you don't have goals, desires, dreams. It simply means you own that your life is perfect as is - which tells The Universe to send you more 'perfect'.

Putting this concept into daily practice is also a great way to give up the 'how' something will manifest, which is critical to the 'Receiving' part of the attraction process.

So take out your pen, type on your computer - whatever feels right for generating vibrations of loving what you have. When you do, you'll be able to focus freely on what you want - without spending an ounce of attention on what you haven't yet gotten. Remember, everything you want is already yours. So make the choice to give your complete energy to that!

Until next time...

With love,

-Jeff
